Hi there. I was thinking that some sort of health regen system would greatly improve upon the first game. In the first game, you can make units with large amounts of HP, but once you have lowered the units health you have no chance of repairing it. This leads to throwing the unit into combat with no thought. There are a few ways this could be fixed. Solution 1: Every unit has rate of repair that is always on. Keep it small enough that it is irrelevant in combat, but enough that it's useful enough to retreat and regroup. Solution 2: Build-able ship/station that has an area of effect repair. Solution 3: You could take a mechanic from Supreme Commander. In this game if a unit acquires kills it gains the ability to heal and also improves upon its stats. Solution : If anyone else has some ideas please post them!

Good idea! Funny you should bring this up as was just working on something like this. I've gone with solution 1 and solution as in when small ships dock in the docking bay then they start to get repaired. As for the larger ships I am still looking for a solution for them to be repaired faster while in space

Oh and if you have internal damage engineer bots to repair the inner hall of ships/stations would be a good idea too.
