Hello, I created an account just so I could ask this stupid question, and I hope it gets answered, but how would trading and selling resources work? Would you be able to sabotage the other companies supplies in any way? Or would you be able to completely blockade them, preventing some growth of their company? You also mentioned protesters, would you be able to maybe hire some people to try and start protests against the enemy company? These are just simple questions but I haven't seen anything like this asked yet.

Hi,
In Executive Assault 2 you build a docking bay which one of its many functions allows you to trade with other ships. So a passing trader might enter your system and dock with your space station allowing you to sell the goods you have manufactured or Irontite you have mined for money or items the trader is selling.
You will also be able to build mining outposts in other sectors where you will have your own cargo ships ferrying Ironite from the outpost to your station to be processed into what ever you need. So yes you could try and stop that supply line or take over the mining outpost(or blow it up)
I haven't thought about hiring protesters but certainly an interesting idea.
