A combat robot commando that can use the dock command to exit an airlock and act as a fighter ship, or walk into an enemy hanger or airlock and become a heavily armed boarding party of one. It could be balanced by either having a to choose between fracture-drive or shields, and having to choose between weapons that work as anti-fighter weapons(seeking missiles whos safety lockout prevents them from being fired indoors) or anti-infantry (rapid lasers that shread infantry but do little damage to capital ships and moderate damage to fighters, and heavy damage to infantry). Good for attack and defence, anti-infantry, or anti-fighter anti-capital ship. Long-range and fast or durable and slow. Capable of doing anything but the needed upgrades conflict with each other so not all at the same time. I want this unit because I would want them for my execuitrons to pilot for when they want to get into more ground battles quickly.
Uses: Transport bailout- When a transport loaded with these badasses is attacked they can bail out and engage thus turning the transport into a budget fighter carrier.
Station takeover: Able to jump to a system and take over a station without a troop transport. Or Ride a troop transport to a system and commando board a station quickly so the transport needen't have to dock with it.
Have a Good Time: while not cost efficient my executives would like to be able to take interior battles into their own hands.
I'd make his a mid tear unit. And would make it an eighth as durable as a fighter at this level. But its a little bigger than infantry sized. So it is quite weak to fighter weapons. ** and for fun make it so it explodes on the windshield of a fighter if it gets rammed without hurting the fighter, bug on a windshield style.**
