Grouping units please!
Drag curser over units and group them 1-9 With Ctrl + 1 - 9. ------------------- Rules of engagement
Example: I can set any unit that is capable of combat to one of 3 rules of engagement.
#1. Neutral - does not engage, even if unit itself is being attacked.
#2. Defensive - will engage enemies within a certain distance. Does not follow enemy if enemy decides to retreat or fly pass you. Goes back to original spot your unit was in when the rule was set for that unit after enemy has fled from radius of the rule or enemy was destroyed.
#3. Aggressive - soon as enemy is detected, your unit goes straight for what's closer to him and engages with pride and prejudice. Your unit will follow the enemy if enemy flees from combat and won't relent till enemy is destroyed or left sector. Your unit does not go back to original spot after enemy has been taken care of one way or another. ------------------------ Patrol Mode
Like the " scout " command.
but only flies in and out of zones that you select with a marker. Unit stays patrolling ( with defensive or aggressive rule of engagement set ) till commanded otherwise or gets destroyed.
Units on patrol with defensive rule on - engages enemy that's close , won't follow enemy , goes back to patrolling and not sitting still.
Units on patrol with aggressive rule on - engages enemies closest first , then next untill entire sector is clear, goes back to patrolling when no enemies are in sector.
