I built a few extra cargoships to speed up the transfer of resources between mining post and my main -which I assume is their intended purpose-, however, the cargo ships would only pick up resources from the mining post, not return to main. This destroyed my economy since they cost and carry so much. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but until it gets fixed cargoships are too much of a risk to build.
Additionally, why do cargoships cost so much? Price should be drastically reduced given they don't actually mine resources, and they aren't particularly fast either.
PS would be cool if one had the ability to capture cargoships from other players.

I built a cargo ship thinking the same.. but once built, mine wouldn't even undock lol.. just stayed docked till I won or died... So I didn't build anymore

The whole cargo system is pretty buggy at the moment. General consensus on the Steam forums is to maybe build a couple of extra mining ships, but not much other than that.
The Ore Processing facilities help quite a lot.

Well I know that or processing is useful, I don't exactly know what it does. Could someone clarify? Also do they stack?

I have a new much bigger mining station in the works and ready to release which should sort this out(it has 8 landing pads). Having the ship 3d printer and the docking bay on the same pad wasnt a good idea as if a new ship it made it will tell everything to take off so transport ships would leave with very little cargo.
If you shoot a cargo ship it will drop its cargo which you can send a mining ship to go pick up.
