In the first game a great part was going into my friends base and making him make loads of units and waste all his money. From the second game would be amazing to expand on this and you could include:
Credit taping/energy taping
Lots of options to use consoles to your advantage (like blowing up the reactor in the first game)
The best thing would be destroying parts off the others space station just rooms or items like radars etc.
A new layer of cyber sec would be really nice to see as well as the physical defence
I know there are big asks but I would and almost everyone would be happy to buy them as DLC or (even better) in a future updates.

I totally agree with this. One thing i was disappointed with in the first game was the lack of things to do other than kill the opponent. I thought well if I can get a hackerbot into his security control room, I should be able to disable the security right? Well with this game I also think that every room should be not only an asset but a liability aswell. For example in the computer mainframe you may be able to disable all his bots. This wouldn't stop them from carrying out old commands but not letting him send new ones. This also wouldn't stop him from possessing one of the bots and telling the others to follow, guard etc... In the Security control room you may be able to disable all the turrets untill the other guy can get any bot down to turn it back on. You could steal research when in a research lab, or steal money when in a trading port, steal power from the power plant, which wouldn't have a massive alarm so they wouldn't notice as often. Also please make this avalable to only the hackerbot. How th theft might work in the game was simply your income going down more that it should and your power production being lower. But no huge alarms.

You can tell Rob had intended to make every room hackable as there a control panels in every room but since it was one guy this feature like many got gutted pretty badly in the first game.
