I just had this idea in my mind that there should be this massive and very expensive ship that you can make.
You would need to make an upgrade to the space dock to be able to build it it should also have unique weapons like a MAC cannon or a superlaser.
The only way to destroy this massive ship would be to destroy the engines and weapons first, leaving the ship sitting ducks, then you would be able to board it. After you are inside you can get to the reactor core, fighting trough bots and defenses inside and overload the ship. It would take 2minutes for the ship to go kaboom, allowing for your guys left over to retreat. Anything within a set radius of the explosion either gets blown up or heavily damaged.
