So I was thinking that executrons could get lost in bigger maps and have a frustrating moment where they couldn't remember they're way back home or to some other specific sector. So giving the executrons a map screen like the CEO's could fix this problem (not that I think this would be large problem but I feel a map of the sectors would still come in handy at times). Also when in a sector executrons could have a "tactical view" that they could open to see allied and enemies ships in a top down view of the sector, to help them more understand what the battle will be like (could even tell you what weapons they're ships have and how much health they have).
Side thing. I feel like the company logos weren't used enough around the base and on the units in the first game (from what I remember they were only really on the base flag and on the gigantalator), so in this game having logos placed in hallways, on the shoulder pads of bots, and on ships would be cool to see.
That's all really, just thinking.

That is a good idea, I'd say. A map, perhaps openable with a button press, that shows an overview of sector layout and such would be quite handy. and allow for Executrons to not get lost and thus be more helpful to their CEO.
However, the tactical view I'm not sure on. Perhaps the Executron can look at something and press a key to scan it and get a detailed view of its weapons and such.

I like the scan idea much more than my original idea. Maybe the scan function could be something the CEO would have to research for the executrons?
My reason for it being locked behind a research is because knowing your opponents specific upgrades and weapons could obviously give you a better chance of victory in battle. Though knowing everything about a ships specs could be over powered for one research so there could be multiple researches that would further increase knowledge of a ships specs.

The scan could initially just work on allied stuff, and require research to scan enemy stuff.
