I personally think that the invade/breach concept is great but, it would also be nice if one could just bomb the [PROFANITYYYYY] out of the base to damage it, but it can't be serious damage I am looking at a Star Wars Idea where one could just bomb the hell out of the Bridge, albeit the bridge would have an OP amount of shielding as to prevent just outright bombing resulting in no tactical play.
I think that the standard construct for a ship should look something like this outside in:
The actual shape of the ship should decide the way it works( All up to you)
The bay should go like this: Fighter-No bridge
Bomber -No bridge
Troop Transport- One or two modern day squad sizes or four fireteams i.e Squad = 12 bots, Fireteam = Six bots
Frigate - Bay (contains 5 fighters or 1 bomber , ships are unconstructable)
Destroyer- Bay (contains 12 fighters, 3 bombers or2 Troop transport,ships are unconstructable)
Battleship-Bay (Contains 25 fighters , 7 bombers or 4 Troop Transport, ships unsconstructable)
Flagship -Bay ( Contains 40 fighters, 15 bombers or 8 Troop Transport, ships contructable)
Carrier - Bay ( Contains 80 fighters, 20 bombers or 15 Troop Transport, ships constructable)
Capital Ship- Bay (Contains 150 fighters , 40 bombers or 30 Troop Transport, ships constructable)
After this there should be an intricate but labeled hallway system e.g Halo 1 on the Autumn, perfectly labeled.
Then of course a ship Armory for bots to get ammo such as ones who use rockets or ammo to add to the realism.
An explodable reactor room which your already doing.
An elevator system that doesn't just lead to the bridge but all over the ship with different things on each floor, there could also be a way to disable the elevator system as their could also be stairs instead.
Med bay- where most bots are healed ( fixed ), can be assaulted of course.
The bridge could probably be a very intricate control room where one can take the ship and RAM it up the enemy's [REDACTED]!!!!!
Types of units:
Rifleman- The average soldier for all round assault
Medic- Can repair multiple units in the heat of battle for standoffs.
Demolition Expert- Why ply the door open when you can just blow it up. Also can be used to combat large groups of enemies and can breach doors unexpectedly.
Crewman- Automatically produced for ships and comes with a pistol, can be used for light defence of ship and to deal with ship repairs and manning the cannons and engines of the ships or base.
Hacker bot- Any explanation necessary.
Spec ops- Smarter then all the units above him combined, can only have one Fireteams worth at a time, come
with 3x health, 5x accuracy, OP damage , 10000000000000000% cooler looking, have unlimited ammo and cannot be hacked.
Then of course the mechs which are good as they are.
As an addition there could also be a CEO specific elevator which lets him escape his office very quickly, mainly because [REDACTED] trying to invade my base.
