Hello Rob,
New here, not to the game though. Before I started I just wanted to say thanks for making it and continuing on, not many people could have done what you have. But my question is if you, or I if you so prefer, could make an official discord. From the threads I have seen there is one, but it isn't very professional or appropriate. I would like there to be one for the future of the series with EA2 but also for EA1, as a discord for people who appreciate the game to play and come together with random bits on a higher level of interaction then on the forums. Sorry Demo, I mean the one you have linked. There is literally a NSFW channel. There are political posts all over, it's just not really a professional discord. It's not a diss to you, I just think there should be a more professionally run server that would be to everyone's taste. |

Hi Kaiserwolf, glad you are enjoying the game.
Currently I don't have any official discord service as I have enough on my social media plate to deal with along with developing a game. While I guess an official one would be better, it does need monitoring.
However I am looking at hiring a social media manager/company to help as I will completely admit I am not so good at this aspect of game development.
I am also not very familiar with discord too as it a fairly new thing which I haven't quite got into yet, I am guessing its quite popular these days?

None taken. but I will say the only reasons why the server went into 2/3s of the stuff that it did is easy. A. With a lack of new content it is difficult to keep the community going. Expectantly when the vast majority members grow tired of the first game and everyone is waiting for the second game. But since many people in the discord are complaining about the wait. It tends to make them lose interest. So if I don't address this issue the server would be dead in a heart beat. So I decided to branch out the server vastly till the second game is released then clean up the server more or less. Also I have noticed professional discord servers have a higher tendency of dying then none-professional. I mean out of the the twenty professional discord servers I'm a member in only two of them have an active community. Wow that's a lot eh all well. Just remember I don't mean to hostile to what you said I'm just pointing out I did what I thought was best for my discord server. Anyways have a good day. Edit: Also I added the NSFW channel due to the fact that people are going to post that stuff either way so I came down to the conclusion of do you want those pics in the other chats or would you rather have them all rounded up in one spot that we tell you do not enter if you don't want to see that stuff. Cause if I kicked/banned everyone who part take in it I would have banned 2/3s of the active community. |

OK Rob I'm not going to blame you but you remember how popular skype became right? Well Discord has successfully taken both skypes and teamspeak's community and merge them onto one mega platform. So yea you could say it's a bit popular to say the less. |

Hmm if you want kaiserwolf I could fire up another discord server that is pear and true to EA and we could see how long that last. Who know's it might become more popular then my current server and as a added bonus you can be lead Admin on it too.

With the new crowds joining the forums due to EA2, I'm sure we could round up a large community. We could work on spreading it as much as we can. Why don't you contact me on Discord, we can talk more about it there. Do we have your blessing Rob? We wont call it official without your permission of course but I'm thinking we could try and make it near that. |

It's a free, and in my opinion better version of teamspeak, skype, and it works cross platform as well as in browser. You can easily create servers and run them, and its an easy fun design. I mean hiring a social media manager isn't a bad idea, and I would say that it would make the game much more advertised would pull in many more players. I don't see any issues with your social media, but no offense to you, it could be better. |

I can mod and do community management I'm surprisingly experience I mod 2 other discord server (one for a YouTuber 500+ and other for a pre-alpha game coming out next month 1000+ people) I'm free most the time(In UTC 4pm to 8pm weekdays and 10am to 8pm weekends) and can make set-up and moderate a discord for you for free. ( just MSG me and ill set it all up and invite you  ) |
