a map editor would be epic for EA2! or at-lest when its done have like every week people make maps and send them in to Rob then at the end of the week the best map is added into the game!

I think that would be a great idea for the game as it would lead to a never ending verity of maps to play on. Let's just hope if this is added to the game it is treated with a lot of love and care as no one likes a half broken system for anything really.

Ahhh now thats a good question. The maps in EA2 are quite different to EA1 so the galaxy maps are randomly generated with a seed (which you can save). Inside each system there are randomly generated things such as derelicts, asteroid fields, resources etc. So each game will never be the same unless you liked a particular map where you can store the seed.

Robots could be better, not going down the route of anything xenomorph/spider like as its not that sort of game, plus I don't want to give the people playing the game in VR heart attacks lol.

Perhaps the Robots that are rouge could be a failed prototype that killed their CEO or something along those lines. If you don't want to do Robots you could do some sort of purists that hate the idea of Robots and are hostile toward the corporations that use them.
(Sorry if I'm thinking too far ahead. Just a big fan and excited for this game.)
