I think that's a rather over dramatic statement, dragged through the mud? I never said early 2018, I told everyone in Nov last year that it will be pushed to 2018 which you seemed more than delighted about and then in March I said Q3. executiveassault2.proboards.com/thread/101/executive-assault-release-date-infoAll year I have been communicating my progress, showing pictures, videos chatting constantly in the forums and explaining things, told everyone when things were out and what changes were being made and tried to keep everyone as well informed as I possibly can. Everyone seems to be happy with all this. When I said Q3 yes I guess that is the end of September, the only reason it is now 18 days after that is because my PR company suggested we picked that one due to other releases at the time and gives the press more freedom to chat about it. I feel this last comment is more because you seem to becoming a little bitter of late, are you annoyed because I don't chat to you any more on Steam so you are venting your anger here at me? You seem to act like the number 1 fan of the game (just look at all those stars under your name) yet you attack the developer when you are slightly angry about something when you should be showing support? This is very disappointing to be honest. Comments like this is why I am probably once the game comes out be less communicative and let my moderators do the talking as comments like this stress me out as I already have enough on my plate to deal with, so thank you for that. Rob I could retaliate for this but there is no point because I stroke out when it was not necessary and for that I am humbly sorry. I've just been having a rough past few months going back and forth between college and working a 30 hr work week just to pay for bills. As for some reason things around me still seem to be breaking faster then I can fix them all. Nevertheless this is no excuse for acting the way I did.
Also sad as I may be that we no longer talk I understand you are a very busy person with your own life. As are we all so I learned to let that go as that's just the nature of things.
Finally Rob I know you're under a lot of stress but for the love of your fan base don't just leave all communications to a mod and pull a planetside 2 on us. Cause trust me no one wants a silent deve. Now I understand that you want to back away and frankly I support this motion to have a mod or two to take over the main chat just don't leave the forms as a whole.
Again I'm sorry I just have a lot of stress that builds up and when it hits a certain point I flick it off at whatever I see sadly my stress got the better of me here. As I flicked it off at you by mistake. Rob if there is anything I can do to atone for this just let me know.

Excuse me, Rob. I frankly remember a whole lot about this. You messaged Demo a lot, but he never told the community, to keep your trust, and to keep it secret. That does not count as "communication" to your community. You keep pushing it farther and farther and farther, and, I know, progress is slow, this is a game made from love, but this is last straw. You personally attack someone who was never your enemy, and, even more, complain that it's HIS fault? I know a "moderator" is going to probably delete this because you can't handle criticism, but frankly, I'm fed up. The whole community is fed up at this point. Just because Navy is supportive of you, doesn't mean the whole community adores you as a 'god' Rob. I'm tired of seeing comments on Steam be deleted, with valid points, forum posts deleted, all because you and your "moderator" can't handle criticism. "Stressed out"? I bet you are, you pushing it so far back is killing the community. There are bigger and better games coming out soon, and once they do, your game's community will leave. Don't believe me? Think I'm a troll? No, I was there with Demo the whole time, keeping the fanbase alive. I was part of the tournament, I administrated the fanbase's unoffical Discord of over 150+. People are moving on, you keep giving us dates, and then pushing it back. This last post of pure distrust toward a "#1 Fan" just put the icing on the cake. Go ahead and delete the whole thing, but I will make sure that people know what you've said. It's on record, so make this right.
Also, may I remind you, that deleting Steam comments that you feel are 'stressing you out' is against Steam's ToS. Don't make this turn legal, because if I have to, I will.

Hi Jiriad, I'm not sure what to say to be honest, if it seems like the date keeps pushing back then I apologise, I am pretty sure it was set for the end of 2017 where I then would be 2018 which I later confirmed it would be Q3 and finally narrowed it down to October the 18th. I can totally take criticism, I worked in Soho for 8 years as a 3d FX artist on various projects where things were changed constantly by clients, in the Steam forums for the first game I think only 3 people have ever been banned and I certainly never deleted anyones comments when people criticised the game, critique is a great for games development so if anything its a good thing. I currently have a moderator working the forums so if you have an example of something being deleted for pointing out something bad please let me know, what I dont encourage in the forums which is against the Steam T&C are personal attacks on my self and moderators which is usually when things happen (this is usually when Steam step in too) As for The demolisher I have really valued his input over the time developing the game, his tournaments he sets up, his videos and questions he's posted so I guess that last comment was a bit of a shock as I didnt realise things had gotten so sour, I will now reach out to him now to mend things and hopefully continue a good friendship, it was not my intention to upset anyone so I apologise if I have. I value all the fans of the game especially those who create communities so I would like to thank you for helping that too. The game will be moving into a new phase soon when it comes out in less than a month with this forum probably filling up and also a Steam forum being created soon, so please do carry on speaking your mind and critiquing things, nothing here will be deleted as thats not how I operate. I really hope that I can continue a good friendship with the community and I look forward as to what happens next

" I'm tired of seeing comments on Steam be deleted, with valid points, forum posts deleted, all because you and your "moderator" can't handle criticism."
next time that happens, take a screen shot and show me before and after, I would love some proof with this
"The whole community is fed up at this point."
ya, he shouldn't of gave any dates, this is what happens when a solo dev says "it might be around this time" doesn't make it due to things, then the community rages. Also, would you rather EA2 to be released today? on the SAMEDAY as the other FPS RTS? (Eximius: Seize the Frontline) (played it in beta, the FPS combat feels like battlefield, but the RTS stinks) its going to be on the 18th because there is no other RTS FPS on that day to be released(btw, I am not fed up, don't act like you speak for everyone, and im sure a lot of community are not fed up as well)
"You personally attack someone who was never your enemy"
know? I can relate to rob here, he though his friend would always be there for him, always supportive, then, when he says when the game is coming out, he gets back stabbed by him questioning him even though the 18th is the perfect date for EA2
"I know a "moderator" is going to probably delete this because you can't handle criticism"
im thinking about becoming a mod, and trust me, I don't delete, I talk
" Just because Navy is supportive of you, doesn't mean the whole community adores you as a 'god' Rob"
I do not view him as "God rob" I view him as a indie dev that was lucky enough to get a community, were the community is starting to act spoiled because the date of the game is going to be in a date were it isn't going to have to compete with compaction
"There are bigger and better games coming out soon"
that is WHY it is on the 18th, the biggest one is in early asscess today! if EA2 was realsed a few days ago, everyone would of stopped playing EA2 to play Eximius: Seize the Frontline the 18th will allow EA2 to have its own time to sign
"you keep giving us dates, and then pushing it back."
oh boy this one again.. OK so! he really did not give any dates, he said might be around, and once again, do you want EA2 to fail? if it was released a few days ago, then it would of needed to be on a level with Eximius: Seize the Frontline, which at the current state, the FPS isn't on par with them, so EA2 would of really not sold at all, with it being the 18th the hype around Eximius: Seize the Frontline will die off some
"This last post of pure distrust toward a "#1 Fan" just put the icing on the cake."
if your best friend just randomly lashed out on you, because say, you could not make it to a party because something came up, would you be perfectly find with it?
"Also, may I remind you, that deleting Steam comments that you feel are 'stressing you out' is against Steam's ToS. Don't make this turn legal, because if I have to, I will."
Once again, please provide me a before and after screen shot of this, because with out proof, this is just words

To add in my own 2 cents, I’m happy the release is on the 18th. I was worried my series was going to end after release, making the chronology I constructed fall apart. I’ve never even heard of Eximius or whatever it’s called, but I’ve seen what happens when a good game is released at the same time as really big games. The main example being Titanfall 2, Which was published between CoD and Battlefield. Titanfall 2 just barely made it out with its head above water. EA2 is leagues better than Eximius on principle alone, as the Titanfall series was and still is leagues better than CoD and Battlefield put together. If we want Ea2 to sail the sea of the Steam market with all the pomp and circumstance it truly deserves, then we need to wait at the docks until the time is right, no matter how long it takes.
Becuase EA2 is worth waiting for.

Well i'm glad there is a release date i am okay with waiting For Probably most of my lifetime for it (i'm still waiting for Half-life 3) Executive assault is a great game it really was one of my dream games A game in which you were the units and there were robots whilst Natural selection 2 was kinda part of it but it was lame and i couldn't run it on my toaster of a laptop and supreme commander is All the robots i would need but i always wanted to combine the two and you've done it
I even remember when i first played Star wars Empire at war and thinking to my self "man would it be cool if i could be a tie fighter in this game" then i hear executive assault 2 has you controlling robots of space stations but space fighters and even battlecruisers (also the monolith is literally the child of the deathstar and a star destroyer)
Also October is when my school exams are nearby and I'll probably be studying too much to play it but after the exams i will have all the time in the world.
